Billing Information

  • The Authority does not accept cash.  We accept checks and money orders by mail and at the office counter.  The Authority also has a drop box located at our office at 1A Quarry Road, Reading PA 19605.
  • Please make checks and money orders payable to “Maidencreek Township Authority”.  You can mail your check or money order to P.0. Box 289, Blandon PA 19510.
  • A credit card option is available.  We do not accept credit cards in person or by phone.  To use a credit card, customers must use the Township or Authority website.  A direct portal is provided on both websites. 
  • To start the billing cycle, the Authority begins reading meters on the first day of January, April, July and October each year.
  • If you do not receive your bill in the mail or by email notification by the 15th of February, May, August and November, please call our office at (610) 926 4173. 
  • Payments are usually due on the first day of March, June, September and December.  The payment due date is printed on your bill and is at least 30 days after the bill date. 
  • Payments received in our office on or before the Payment Due Date are considered on time. Post mark dates will not be considered in determining if payment was received on time.
  • A fee of 10 % of the outstanding balance of the current bill is added to accounts for payments not received by the Payment Due Date.
  • Late Notices are sent to our customers on the first week of March, June, September and December.
  • On the third week of March, June, September and December the MTA Board is presented the shut off list for approval.  Once the shut off list is approved, customers will be mailed a shut off notice and a door hanger shall be placed on the front door on the first week of April, July, October and January.  A fee of $10.00 will be charged to your account to recoup the cost of placing a door hanger on your property.   
  • Customers who fail to make payments will be scheduled to be shut off on the third week of April, July, October and January. 
  • Liens can be placed on your property if your account balance exceeds $500 after required notice of such lien is provided to the customer.
